Saturday 21st November at 10 am - Christmas Week Starts!
The Ninth West End Christmas Week will be launched at 10.00am in
Dundee West churche's Community Facilities ( enter at the top of
Roseangle ) where a West End Community Fayre is taking place.

Many local organisations are participating and all resedents are
invited to attend. Entrance is entirely free of charge and it will be a
great way to learn about all the organisations in the West End that
are working for our local area.

At 10.30am, the Primary One children of Ancrum Road Primary, Park
Place Primary, St Joseph's Primary and Blackness Primary Schools will
take part in a massive balloon launch at nearby seabraes.

The balloon launch will be led by the local singer Chris Sinclair. The
pupil whose balloon travels furthest will win a children's party for up to
20 friends, courtesy of Barnetts Motor Group.

Dundee West Church's Christmas Coffee Morning also takes place at
the church - 10am to 12 noon.
Tuesday 24th November - Christmas Consert, Carnival, Christmas
Lights Switch On and Fireworks Display.
This year's West End Christmas concert takes place at Dundee West
Church at 6pm. All local residents are very welcome to attend.

There will be musical contributions from local primary and secondary
schools and we are also delighted to welcome leading Scottish
traditional singer Sheena Wellington.

At 7pm, the West End Christmas Lights will be switched on at
Seabraes by Lord Provost John Letford, Ken Macleod of Tay AM and
Betty Bampot & Penny Pilic from the Downfield Musical Society Panto!

There will be a fireworks display after the lights switch-on.

Attending for the first time during Christmas Week -
Horne's Carnival will be at Seabraes with rides for children and adults!

We would like to thank the West End shops whose financial support
has made the fireworks display possible and to Robin Carstairs for his
help in organising the fireworks. This is a super family Christmas night
don't miss it!

Why not bring your digital camera to the Christmas Lights Switch On
and take a picture of the fireworks display. Send your entry through
our competition form and you could win a £50 voucher from jessops.
Friday 27th November - Winter Light Niht includes the cultural quarter
A visual feast, set to mix audiovisual displays and music against a
backdrop of street art, performances and story telling, Dundee's
Winter Light Night till take place from 6 pm, beginning with a
torchlight procession through the city centre and culminating with a
fireworks display set to music.

The West End is included in Winter Light Night with activities in the
Cutural Quarter area.
Saturday 28th November -
On Saturday 28th November, Christmas Week ends with many West
End shops having special offers, so do please visit the shops across
the West End and pick up a great bargain from our diverse range of
local shops!
